Bandits have abducted two persons in separate attacks in Sundu and Yanoko villages, Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State.

‎The attackers struck Sundu village first, kidnapping one person, before moving to Yanoko village where a woman was also taken.

‎A security expert, Bakatsine on his official X handle, noted that the bandits operated under cover of darkness, further instilling fear in residents.

‎This incident according to him, highlights concerns about rural insecurity in Kano State, with bandits seemingly operating freely in communities calling for stronger protection.

‎Kano has seen multiple kidnappings and attacks in areas like Tsanyawa, Shanono, and Karaye.

‎In January 2026, a police inspector and two others were kidnapped and beaten by bandits.
