Bandits have abducted two persons in separate attacks in Sundu and Yanoko villages, Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
The attackers struck Sundu village first, kidnapping one person, before moving to Yanoko village where a woman was also taken.
A security expert, Bakatsine on his official X handle, noted that the bandits operated under cover of darkness, further instilling fear in residents.
This incident according to him, highlights concerns about rural insecurity in Kano State, with bandits seemingly operating freely in communities calling for stronger protection.
Kano has seen multiple kidnappings and attacks in areas like Tsanyawa, Shanono, and Karaye.
In January 2026, a police inspector and two others were kidnapped and beaten by bandits.
