Attack: Oyo Police Command Mobilise Officers to Secure National Park

Following reports on Wednesday that some people were killed at the old Oyo National Park, the Oyo State Police Command says it has mobilised more personnel to secure the Park.

‎State Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, made this known during an on-the-spot assessment at the park on Wednesday.
‎
‎While leading other police officers to the park, Haruna confirmed that five forest rangers have been killed by the gunmen.
‎
‎Meanwhile, in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Olayinka Ayanlade, CP Haruna, noted that the attack was directed at the forest rangers.
‎
‎He added that police officers who were immediately mobilised saved the situation, pointing out that the move was done in order to prevent further attack by the assailants.
