Further insight revealed that as soon as the troops received the call, they immediately mobilised, engaged the criminals and neutralised the threat.
According to available reports, one suspect, Kabiru Zayyanu, was arrested with a gunshot wound to the leg and evacuated to Doka General Hospital for first aid.
It was also learnt that other members of the gang fled the scene just as the troops conducted a hot pursuit without further contact.
