A Monarch, Chief Yakanaje of the Margi tribe, in Uke Karu, local government area, Nasarawa State, Alhaji Sani Ali, has appealed to Nigerians to appreciate the importance of development for their communities.
Ali gave the admonition at his palace in Nasarawa State on Thursday, insisting that community efforts will accelerate the development of villages.
The monarch, who admitted that the government alone can’t meet every community’s need, added that Indigenes, both at home and abroad, are to do their best to develop their communities by working with the leaders there to meet their needs.
He stressed that ‘Margi Tribe’ is not a parasite but a struggler, pointing out that the people are always ready to do what will help themselves and build the society.
The traditional ruler stated that he remains grateful to God Almighty for making their life productive.
