Troops of Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued four kidnapped victims in separate operations across Zamfara and Kebbi States on October 21, 2026.
‎
‎Security expert Bakatsine disclosed this on his verified X handle on Thursday.
‎
‎According to him, in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, troops rescued two victims — Mansur Shehu, 25, and Kadijat Haruna, 49 — from a farmland in Binoni Marafa.
‎
‎In a separate operation in Kebbi State, troops rescued two other victims, Jimoh Su-Arege, 35, and Kalahe Danjuma, 41, between Bena and Sawade, following reports of suspected terrorists moving with kidnapped victims from Dipindu village in Danko-Wasagu LGA. The rescued victims were subsequently handed over to the Seriki of Dipindu.
‎
‎Troops have continued to intensify patrols and surveillance to deny criminal elements freedom of action across the North-West.
‎
‎Commending the troops, Bakatsine wrote: “Kudos to the gallant troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA for their swift response and successful rescue operations. These efforts offer renewed hope to families and communities affected by insecurity in the North-West.”
