‎Insecurity: Gov Lawal Commends Troops For Recovery Of Rustled Cattle In Zamfara

Governor Dauda Lawal has commended troops for their efforts and commitment to the fight against banditry in Zamfara State.

‎The Violence Crime Response Unit (VCRU) of the Zamfara Police Command recovered 329 cattle and 175 sheep from bandits in Gambanda forest, Gummi Local Government Area.

‎Governor Lawal described the Zamfara State Police’s renewed efforts as encouraging and promising in the fight against banditry.

‎He commended the effort of all security operatives in the state, especially the Zamfara State Police Command, for resilience, bravery and commitment in recovering 329 cattle, 175 sheep, weapons and ammunition from bandits.

‎The governor said police operatives engaged and overpowered the bandits in Gambanda forest, which led to the recovery.

‎He added that the action reflected the police’s tireless work in the face of challenges posed by criminal elements and underscored their role in protecting the livelihoods of Zamfara residents.

‎Governor Lawal said the bravery displayed and successful recovery of livestock and weapons highlighted the strong leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammad Bello, noting his guidance had been instrumental in improving public safety and combating banditry.

‎He stated that his administration remained committed to providing support to all security agencies in their efforts to ensure safety and security for the people.
