Bandits have reportedly killed a resident in his home in Gazau community, Isa LGA of Sokoto State.
A security expert Bakatsine while posting on his verified X handle on Wednesday, said the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at about 2pm.
Bakatsine, said according to local sources, the bandits pursued the resident into his home, shot him dead and fled the scene with his motorcycle.
He added that the killing of the resident has further heightened tension among community members who say they are now vulnerable to recurring attacks by bandits.
Baketsine added that residents of the community, described the victim as a civilian with no known ties to criminal activity, pointing out that the community is in mourning mood.
He said, “As families mourn and communities demand protection, a troubling question lingers: How many more lives must be lost before meaningful security is restored?”
