The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it has concluded every arrangement for the conduct of the forthcoming Kano State House of Assembly by-elections for Kano Municipal and Ungogo Local Government State Constituencies.
Newsbuka reports that the by-elections were caused by the demise of the two lawmakers representing the constituencies, creating vacancies in the state legislature.
Giving insight as to the level of preparedness, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, for the state, Amb. Abdullahi Zango, said over ten political parties had expressed interests to participate in the exercise.
Zango assured that INEC was prepared for the polls, with arrangements in top gear to guarantee a smooth, credible, and hitch-free election.
He charged eligible voters to come out en masse on the election day, promising them of a level-playing field for all the contestants.
