In the spirit of the yuletide, the Ogun State sector command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has deployed 2089 personnel consisting of 1015 regular and 1074 special Marshals, as well as 32 patrol vehicles, six motorbikes, three ambulances, among others, across the state.
‎The move according to the Command is to ensure free flow of traffic and curb crashes during the festive season.
‎The sector command spokesperson Afolabi Odunsi-Oyewole who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, said that the sector command is committed to safe motoring during this festive period and beyond and would therefore leave no stone unturned to ensure the safety of the travellers and motorists across the state.
‎Similarly, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin, has urged the motoring public to take responsibility for their Safety and avoid distracted driving.
‎Fasakin also stressed that speeding above the legal speed limit is a leading factor in road crashes and that any driver caught will be made to face the law.
‎
The sector commander emphasised the fact that it’s only the living that can celebrate, urging every road user to prioritize safety during this festive season and beyond.
