Tanimu Turaki led National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) is billed to meet with stakeholders in the party, including the National Assembly caucus.
Newsbuka reports that a schedule by the PDP National Organising Secretary, Dakas Shan revealed that the NWC will meet with former governors in the party, on December 16.
It was gathered that the party would present a Certificate of Return to the PDP candidate in the June, 20, 2026 Ekiti State Governorship election, Oluwole Oluyede, on Wednesday.
Before the parley with ex-governors, the NWC will meet with the Senate and House of Representatives caucuses, as well as party chairmen from the 36 states, ex- ministers and national ex-officio.
Recall that the crisis in the PDP escalated after the immediate past NWC led by Umar Damagum, organised a national convention, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where it elected a new leadership led by Turaki.
Recall also that last month supporters of the new NWC, backed by PDP Governors and loyalists of the Minister of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT), Nyesom Wike, clashed at the party’s national secretariat, the Wadata Plaza, leading to the police barricading the national secretariat.
