Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has likened the call by former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose for the party to field Peter Obi as its presidential candidate come 2027 as an outsider weeping louder than the bereaved.

‎In a post on his verified X handle on Monday, the publisher of the Ovation Magazine said, he was surprised to see former Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose, begging the ADC to field former Governor Peter Obi as its presidential candidate in 2027.

‎Recall that Fayose had said the ADC’s case would worse if it fails to make Obi its presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Reacting to the statement, Momodu further said, this is a classic case of an outsider weeping louder than the bereaved.

‎Obi and other notable South-East leaders recently defected to the ADC.
