Operatives of the Zamfara Community Protection Guards (CPG) have killed eight bandits in an ambush in the Mada axis of Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security expert Bakatsine disclosed this in a post on X on Tuesday.
According to him, the incident occurred on Monday evening when the bandits, numbering 10 on motorcycles, were on their way back to the forest after an attempted attack on civilians.
He said CPG personnel caught up with them and engaged them, killing eight, while two managed to escape.
Bakatsine described the operation as encouraging news from the frontline and commended the Zamfara CPG for their bravery and swift response.
