It was a weekend of honour and impact for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Sir Uzoma Ihuka, as he featured prominently at two major gatherings of Nde Ngwa at home and in the diaspora.
‎
‎First, at the Thanksgiving Service marking the end of the Second Session of the Seventh Synod of the Diocese of Isiala Ngwa (Anglican Communion) held at Holy Trinity Church, Ndiolunbe, Isiala Ngwa South, Sir Ihuka called for forgiveness and love as enduring symbols of peace and stability in families.
‎
‎The four-day Synod was hosted by the Bishop of Isiala Ngwa Diocese, Rt. Rev’d Temple Onyinyechi Nwaogu, PhD, with the theme: “Conflict Resolution in Marriage.”
‎
‎According to Ihuka, no marriage is free from conflict, but what sustains it is the willingness to forgive, show love and place God at the centre. He noted that stable marriages produce stable families, and stable families build a peaceful and progressive society.
‎
‎In a related development, Chief Uzo Ihuka was the Special Guest of Honour at the official launch of the multi-million-naira Ovu Ngwa Building by the Oha Ngwa community in Onitsha, Anambra State.
‎
‎The historic occasion attracted prominent sons and daughters of Ngwa land, Abia State, and Ndi Igbo at large.
‎
‎In his remarks, Chief Ihuka commended the Oha Ngwa community for the laudable initiative, describing the project as a testament to their unity, foresight and collective commitment to community development. He urged them to remain connected to their roots.
‎
‎He also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for providing an enabling environment for Ndi Igbo, particularly the Ngwa community, to thrive, and commended his visionary leadership and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
