Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA on Wednesday evening foiled a planned ransom exchange in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State and rescued a woman who had been kidnapped from her farm last month.
Security expert Bakatsine posting on his X handle, said the terrorists fled upon the arrival of the troops, abandoning the victim.
The rescued woman was said to be unharmed and has since been reunited with her family.
The successful operation has been widely commended, with community members applauding the swift response and courage of the troops in ensuring the safe rescue of the victim.
