President Bola Tinubu has sworn in the new Minister of Power, replacing Chief Adebayo Adelabu, at a brief ceremony at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

‎The President also swore in a new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs during the event on Monday.

‎Adelabu’s exit marks the first major cabinet shake-up in Tinubu’s power sector since 2023. The new Power Minister takes charge amid Nigeria’s ongoing electricity reforms, grid collapses, and push for improved power supply nationwide.

‎The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs will support Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements as the country deepens bilateral ties across Africa and beyond.

‎No reason was given for Adelabu’s departure. The Presidency is expected to announce further changes to the cabinet in the coming days.
