‎Suspected Bandits Kill At least Two People in Katsina Community

According to security analyst Bakatsine, at least two people were killed on Thursday night when suspected bandits attacked Kwatangiri community in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State.

‎Posting on his X handle on Friday, Bakatsine stated that the attackers attacked the community late at night.

‎According to him during the attack, two residents were killed while several houses were reportedly looted by the bandits.

‎In his post, Bakatsine said, “Last night, bandits stormed Kwatangiri community in Funtua LGA, Katsina State, killing two people and looting several valuables. Residents report widespread fear and losses as security remains thin in the area.

‎”Residents are asking: how does this attack align with the recent peace deal announced by LGA officials with bandit groups, and what concrete steps are being taken to ensure communities like Kwatangiri are actually protected?

‎Meanwhile, authorities are yet to issue any official statement regarding the incident.
