Reports indicate that residents of Sukuntuni and surrounding communities in Kankia LGA of Katsina State are fleeing their homes.

‎A security expert, Bakatsine, revealed on X that bandits issued a letter demanding 700 cattle and 1,000 sheep within days, sparking widespread fear.

‎According to Bakatsine, the demand comes amid threats of violence, ending a fragile peace deal. A video showed residents fleeing to avoid the crisis.

‎This incident follows previous threats by bandits in Nigeria’s North, who have demanded motorcycles and other items, often using them to launch attacks and extort communities.
