Newsbuka has learnt that many pupils escaped death on Thursday following the collapse of a classroom building in Odokerere High School in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
The incident which occured during lesson hours, did not claim any life as many of the pupils were said to have escaped unhurt, while some sustained serious injuries.
The incident was confirmed by residents and teachers in the school owned by the Lagos State government.
It was revealed that the building which had been dilapidated for a long time, caved in during class hours.
Meanwhile, a video of the incident, which has since gone viral on social media platform X, was shared by a user @omoelerinjare.
In the video, an eyewitness was heard pointing towards the direction of the building, saying that many of the pupils would have been buried in the rubble if they had not acted swiftly.
