As the problem in PDP persists, the former Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Affairs, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, cannot be fixed.
Baba-Ahmed who stated this on Thursday during a programme, added that PDP is drifting away, stressing that the PDP is not the only party capable of providing a credible opposition to the APC.
He was speaking on Nigeria’s political terrain ahead the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Baba-Ahmed also insisted that the opposition PDP caused a lot of damage to itself, adding that the truth about it is that PDP has been on the free fall for a long time.
”PDP has been involved in destroying itself consistently. And what is amazing is that they started very well as a party, accomplished politicians, people who had served their country very well. And certainly it has degenerated and this is where we are.”
