Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, on Tuesday met with the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, to advance a strategic partnership between the Federal Government and Plateau State.
The partnership is aimed at accelerating trade, industrial development, and enterprise growth under the African Continental Free Trade Area, AfCFTA.
In a statement after the meeting, Governor Mutfwang said their engagement focused on strengthening collaboration to enhance subnational competitiveness, expand trade opportunities, and promote enterprise development through targeted policies and strategic investments.
He noted that discussions also centered on practical measures to leverage Plateau State’s abundant agricultural, mineral, and human resources to drive value addition, foster innovation, empower local producers and businesses, and position the State to maximize opportunities presented by AfCFTA.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to building a resilient, competitive, and export-driven economy that creates jobs, attracts investment, and delivers sustainable prosperity for the people of Plateau State,” the Governor said.
