BENIN — Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has inaugurated four key boards and committees to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The inaugurated bodies are the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Edo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Consumer Protection Committee, and the Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency, RARA.
Speaking during the inauguration, Governor Okpebholo charged all members to serve with integrity, humility, dedication and accountability.
He reminded them that their appointments are a responsibility to the people and, ultimately, a responsibility before God.
The Governor stressed that the people must remain at the centre of every government decision. He urged the appointees to work together, put the public interest first, and deliver results that will positively impact the lives of Edo people.
He congratulated all the appointees and wished them wisdom, strength and God’s grace as they take up their responsibilities.
“Together, we will continue to build an Edo State that works for all,” the Governor said.
