According to a prominent American Philosopher and Psychologist, John Dewey, “development is not merely a preparation for the future but a continuous life long process of reconstructing experience”. Over the years, the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency has been limited to palliative representation neglecting building skills capable of extinguishing hunger, earning the youths high paid jobs within and across the country inline with the modern day demands.
‎
‎The need to enthrone good leadership in the Constituency through the emergence of a visionary and experienced representative is now, and all hands must be on deck in the three Local Government Areas and the federal Constituency to achieve the desired goals.
‎
‎The truth remains that the best has not been there, while the 2027 General Elections affords us ample opportunity to do the needful in Ikwuano/Umuahia North/ South Federal Constituency.
‎
‎The right question we should be asking ourselves is, have we made progress over the years? Have we really tackled employment problems in the Constituency? Have we leveraged our unique cultural and natural resources to attract partnerships or create employment opportunities for the graduating population from the Constituency? Indisputably, the Constituency is blessed with educated and visionary persons who possess the intellectual prowess needed to revolutionise representation in the Constituency anchored on transparency and accountability.
‎
‎Gladly, the opportunity is here again to rewrite the story of Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency by aligning ourselves with the ADC chieftain and Okwoyi Ibeku born technocrat, Engineer Ogbonna Abarikwu whose antecedents speak volumes of his mission to guarantee effective representation of the Constituency.
‎
‎The Methodist College Uzuakoli Old Boy and American licensed civil structural and traffic engineer, has positioned himself to break the jinx of ineffective system of representation by engendering a participatory system that seeks not only to ascertain the needs of the people, but proffer solutions.
‎
‎Engineer Ogbonna Abarikwu has also reeled out his achievable manifesto, having believed in the ideology of a former Governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi and that of ADC, which centred on participatory democracy.
‎
‎The Ikwuano/umuahia North and South Hopeful, Eng. Ogbonna Abarikwu is emphatic that his emergence as the member representing lkwuano umuahia Federal Constituency in 2027 General Elections will ensure quarterly publication of allowances accrued to the constituency and monthly expenditures, identifying cultural and natural resources, in the constituency, establishing cottage industries, with partners, effective managerial team for employment generation, creation of liaison offices across the three local Government Areas in the Constituency, face to face interaction with the people to attend to their problems.
‎
‎Unarguably, there is a need for all well-meaning people in Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency to support Eng. Ogbonna Abarikwu, to make that difference that will make the constituency an envy of others, through the enthronement of accessible and people-based representation that will fast-track development of the Constituency.
