Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has announced former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as his running mate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Obi made the announcement on Saturday shortly after his official confirmation as the NDC’s presidential candidate.
The party also declared Obi its flag bearer for next year’s election during the same event.
Both Obi and Kwankwaso recently defected from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to the NDC, citing internal divisions and unresolved court cases in their former party.
