The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has cautioned officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) against charging citizens more than the officially approved fees.
‎Tunji-Ojo stressed that inefficiency in service delivery will no longer be tolerated while touring the VIP and Children section of the passport office.
‎‎The Minister gave the warning on Tuesday during an unscheduled visit to the NIS passport office in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
‎He expressed displeasure over applicants waiting long after opening hours before being attended to, despite the section being designated for expedited services.
