Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has admitted that he would not be governor of the state without the support of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
While expressing his gratitude to Wike on Friday, he also thanked him for giving him the platform to run for governor.
Fubara added that it was Wike’s discovery of him that gave him the loudness and made him who he is today.
Recall that there has been rift between Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Many have said the rift is a deep-seated struggle for control of Rivers State’s political structure.
