Amid his rumoured defection to the rulling All Progressives Congress APC, Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti on Friday hosted Imo State Governor and Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma.
‎Newsbuka gathered that the Friday, visited to Governor Alex Otti of Abia State availed but Governors opportunity to discuss collaborations on South-East regional development.
‎Uzodimma, who was accompanied on the visit by former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim, said the five governors of the South-East are sharing ideas on how to help the people of the zone to survive.
‎He further said the development of the South-East cannot be achieved if there is no common front among its five governors.
‎Uzodimma also dispelled speculations that his visit was politically motivated because of the 2027 election, stressing that the trip was a New Year visit to Governor Otti, whom he said is doing well in governance.
‎Responding, the host Governor, Alex Otti appreciated his guest for the visit. He said visit was not politically-motivated.
Otti also said that belonging to different political parties should not be misconstrued as opposition.
