Emerging reports say Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has confirmed that he will defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Governor Fubara disclosed this during a stakeholder meeting at the Government House on Tuesday.
According to him, his decision to defect is in the interest of Rivers people.
He added that he has gotten the approval of President Bola Tinubu to join the ruling party.
Fubara’s defection is not coming as a surprise to many following several meetings with the President and the recent defection of 16 Rivers State House of Assembly lawmakers.
