Festus Keyamo, the Aviation Minister, has said President Bola Tinubu has performed exceptionally in Rivers State and the South-South region.
The Aviation Minister spoke on Friday during the flag-off of the 7km Ipo Town–Airport Bypass and the commissioning of the Ikwerre Road–Igwuruta–Airport Road Corridor reconstructed by the Rivers State Government.
Speaking at the Flag off, the minister appreciated President Tinubu for what he described as the President’s numerous contributions to the people of Rivers State.
He stated that Tinubu has made it possible for all South-South states to align with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, noting that Rivers State, traditionally, has never been in opposition.
Keyamo used the opportunity to formally welcome Governor Siminalayi Fubara into the APC, saying, “We set a trap to catch a frog, we caught an elephant in the person of Sir Siminalayi Fubara, welcome to the fold of the progressives sir, welcome to the big family, welcome to the largest party in Africa.”
The Minister of Aviation stated that Fubara’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, signals the death of the soul of the opposition party.
Newsbuka reports that Keyamo was at the Government House in Port Harcourt, where he witnessed Governor Fubara receiving his APC membership card from the Tony Okocha-led leadership of the party.
