The Federal Government and the World Bank have onboarded 10 additional states into the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project, L-PRES, in a major push to deepen livestock development across Nigeria.

‎The development was announced at the L-PRES Implementation Support Mission in Yola, Adamawa State, attended by delegates from existing participating states and the newly onboarded states.

‎In a statement, the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, said L-PRES has become a key driver of livestock development through various interventions and programmes aimed at strengthening productivity, resilience and growth across the industry.

‎Present at the mission were World Bank Task Team Leader, Manivel Sene; Co-Task Team Leader, Dr. Chidozie Anyiro; and National Coordinator, L-PRES, Dr. Sanusi Abubakar, among others.
