‎Bandits Attack Dangani Town in Katsina, Kill Member of Local Security Watch

Bandits have reportedly attacked Dangani town in Musawa local government area of Katsina State.

‎According to a post by security expert Bakatsine on his verified X handle, during the attack, a member of the local Community Watch Corps known as Anas Ayuba lost his life while defending the community.

‎It was reported that the bandits made away with his rifle just as he added that another officer identified as Nura, was wounded during the attack but receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

‎Newsbuka learnt that Musawa is one of several LGAs in Katsina that previously entered peace negotiations with armed groups.

‎Bakatsine posted, “Yesterday evening around 5pm, bandits attacked Dangani town in Musawa LGA,  Katsina State. They targeted members of the state’s Community Watch Corps, killing one officer, Anas Ayuba from Marabar Musawa, and making away with his rifle.

‎”Another officer, identified as Nura, was wounded during the attack and is believed to be receiving medical treatment. Musawa is one of several LGAs that previously entered peace negotiations with armed groups.

‎”Are those agreements still holding, or have the talks broken down?”.
