‎Atiku Welcomes Obi to ADC, Pledges to Work with him

A former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to Peter Obi’s official move from the Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

‎Recall that Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, had announced his entry into ADC while speaking in Enugu on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025.

‎Recall also that he is one of the early members of the ADC coalition, which was formed to challenge President Bola Tinubu in future elections.

‎Welcoming Obi in a post on X, Atiku said his joining the ADC is a major step for political cooperation in the country, assuring that he is ready to work closely with Obi to build a strong and united opposition.

‎He described Obi’s decision as an important development in Nigeria’s politics, expressing hope that their partnership would help create an effective opposition capable of forming a government focused on peace and economic growth.

‎Atiku used the opportunity to call on other Nigerians who care about the country to support the ADC coalition as it continues to gain strength across different regions.
