Abia South Senator, Eyinnaya Abaribe, has dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for the African Democratic Congress, ADC, thus ending months of speculation.
The serving Senator made the announcement on Wednesday, in Enugu immediately after former Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi, formally joined the ADC.
Recall that Abaribe had joined APGA in 2023 after leaving his previous party to contest the Abia South senatorial seat.
Abaribe declared his full alignment with the ADC, describing Obi as his political leader.
He said, “Let me also announce that I have resigned from the All-Progressive Grand Alliance.”
