The Abia State Government has shortlisted 46 directors for the Permanent Secretary selection examination scheduled for the last week of June 2026.
The Secretary to the State Government, Dr Emmanuel Meribole, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
“The Government of Abia State wishes to notify all concerned that the recruitment process for the appointment of Permanent Secretaries has advanced to the examination stage following successful application, screening, and shortlisting of eligible officers,” Meribole said.
According to the statement, the examination will test candidates on Public Service Rules, Public Policy, Financial Regulations, Information and Communication Technology, Budgeting, Procurement, Memo Writing, Public Presentation, Psychometric Test, and Current Affairs.
“The examination date is slated for the last week of June 2026. Specific date, time and venue will be communicated to the applicants in due course,” the SSG added.
Meribole directed heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies to bring the circular to the attention of all concerned officers.
