Commercial driver Isa Murtala from Kankara LGA has regained his freedom after escaping from bandits who abducted him along Sheme Road in Katsina State.

‎According to local sources, Murtala’s family had been under pressure to pay a substantial ransom, with negotiations reportedly ongoing.

‎However, before any payment was made, Murtala managed to escape from his captors and returned home safely.

‎His escape is being described as a rare and encouraging outcome amid the region’s ongoing kidnapping crisis.
