Eric Opah has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for Abia State in the 2027 governorship election.
Announcing the result on Thursday night at the APC Secretariat, Umuahia , the Returning Officer Barthow Nyelong said Opah polled 126,977 votes to defeat the other aspirant, Henry Ikoh, who got 5,905 votes.
Nyelong said Opah met all requirements of the APC constitution and guidelines and therefore stands elected as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election.
Recall that the All Progressives Congress (APC) commenced its staggered nationwide primary elections for the 2027 election cycle on May 15, 2026.
