Several passengers were injured when an Abuja-bound Kaduna train derailed after a collision near Asham on Monday.
Nigerian Railway Corporation MD, Kayode Opeifa, confirmed the incident, saying no fatalities were reported.
According to him, injured passengers were taken to Idu train station for medical attention.
Opeifa added that an investigation is underway to determine the cause.
“NRC confirms Abuja-Kaduna train incident at Asham. Passengers injured, investigation ongoing,” he said.
