The Political Leader of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ukwa-East Local Government Area of Abia State, Hon. Chuks Wabara, has pledged unalloyed loyalty and support to the National Chairman of the party, His Excellency Senator David Mark, and the Abia State Chairman, Hon. Don Norman, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening the party’s structure at the grassroots.

‎Wabara disclosed this in a statement issued on February 9, 2026 via his email: chukswabara82@gmail.com, following his emergence as Political Leader of Ukwa-East LGA on the ADC platform. He described his emergence as both an honour and a call to greater service, expressing gratitude to party leaders and faithful members for the trust reposed in him.

‎The former Chairman, Ukwa-East Local Government Council commended Senator David Mark for his “visionary and stabilising leadership,” noting that the former Senate President has continued to reposition the ADC as a credible platform for progressive and people-oriented politics in Nigeria. He also lauded the Abia State Chairman, Hon. Don Norman, for strengthening party structures and fostering unity across the state.

‎“As Political Leader, my commitment is total. I will work with all stakeholders to deepen our presence in Ukwa-East and ensure that the ADC remains the preferred platform for credible leadership and sustainable development,” Wabara stated.

‎The Ndoki-born politician further called on residents of Ukwa-East and Abia State to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). According to him, Ukwa, despite being one of the most densely populated and strategic local government areas among the 17 LGAs in Abia State, remains underrepresented in PVC registration largely due to voter apathy.

‎“It is time to change the narrative. Political relevance begins with voter registration. Our vote is our power,” he said. He urged eligible citizens to register, update their details, and collect their Permanent Voter Cards to enhance Ukwa’s political strength and bargaining power.

‎Wabara also expressed confidence that with unity, renewed grassroots mobilisation, and increased civic participation, Ukwa-East would assume its rightful place in Abia’s political landscape, while assuring party members of his resolve to serve with loyalty, integrity, and dedication to the ideals of the ADC.
