Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 jet crash near Igbokoda in Ondo State.

‎In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda described the crash as a painful loss to the nation, noting that the gallant officers died in active service to the country while on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.

‎The governor aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for a thorough investigation into the cause of the mishap to prevent future occurrences, while assuring the Armed Forces of the continued support and solidarity of the people and Government of Katsina State.

‎Governor Radda commiserated with the President and Commander-in-Chief, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Government and people of Ondo State under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and the families of those involved in the tragic incident.
