‎Abia NSCDC Gets New State Commandant

Commandant Odimba Chukwuemeka has assumed office as the 20th substantive State Commandant of the Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

‎He took over from Commandant Akinsola Aderemi at a formal handover ceremony in Umuahia, attended by senior officers.

‎During the event, Chukwuemeka assured inclusive leadership, calling for co-operation to effectively carry out his mandate. “Soldiers come and soldiers go, but the barracks remain,” he said, appreciating the warm reception.

‎Earlier, the outgoing Commandant Akinsola Aderemi thanked officers for support, urging them to accord Chukwuemeka same commitment and professionalism to sustain growth and operational successes.

‎A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC I Doreen Udugwu, said afterwards, the new Commandant held a strategic meeting with the Governor’s Special Adviser on Security, Navy Commander MacDonald Ubah (Rtd.), aiming to strengthen collaboration and enhance security co-ordination in the state.
