A veteran Broadcaster and Journalist, Mr Eugene Okey Imuoh popularly known as Captain, has said Abians deserve special commendation for speaking with one voice and electing Dr. Alex Otti as the next Governor of the State and opening a new chapter in the State.
Mr Imuoh, who spoke to newsbuka.com on Tuesday, in Umuahia The State Capital, said having worked closely with Dr. Otti since 2015, he is optimistic that Abia and her people are finally in for total redemption, adding that the Governor elect has the technical know-how to transform Abia beyond her current abysmal state.
He expressed optimism that Dr. Otti, having known the problems inherent in Abia, will hit the ground running immediately after May 29th, 2023 by matching words with actions in order to address dilapidated areas in the State.
Mr Imuoh, who recalled in 2015, how Abians voted massively for Dr. Otti, noted that they also replicated such feat by speaking expressly at the just concluded Governorship election in the State, maintaining that the Governor elect has not reneged in his message of hope and promise of redeeming Abia State.
He congratulated Dr. Alex Otti for his resounding victory, saying that the lessons from his victory is reassuring as he has been consistent these while just as he stated that with the enormous love shown him by the people of the State, he will provide succour by delivering mouth watering programmes and policies to then.
In his words, “Having worked with Dr. Alex Otti since 2015, I am optimistic that he has all the answers and the missing link in Abia. It is my belief that having observed and taken note of the problems Abia is bedevilled with, he will go ahead to provide answers to the myriad challenges in the State.
He, however, urged Abians to pray for Dr. Alex Otti to succeed as it is a biblical injunction for the people to always pray for those in authority.
