To some, it may sound awkward, but to those who know the personality of the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the rescheduled 18th of March, 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, they will insist that he is the right man for the job.
While people, especially from the other side of the political divide will argue why he is the right man for the job, the truth is simple, Abia needs a detribalized figure as the Governor, not those who will further divide the peaceful atmosphere Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (PhD), has sustained.
Come to think of it, Abia needs one who will keep to his promise, has compassion for Ndi Abia, a Lover of the people, one who can easily recommend people for enviable positions, as well as one who is humble in the service of the people. Chief Okey Ahiwe, has all these important qualities expected from a public office holder.
From discussions I have had with some Abians, they have confessed that Okey Ahiwe is a good man. Now the question is, since he is a good man, why can’t he be entrusted with the resources of Abia State? I thought there is a reward for good people?
Okey Ahiwe is not a novice in the management of people and resources. He has exhibited it in his service in the private sector before he became the Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu. If given the mandate, he will further contribute his quota towards the advancement of the State.
The task before Abians is a simple and straightforward one and they must in all sincerity make their choices based on the qualities inherent in all the candidates. They must ensure that a detribalized figure like Okey Ahiwe becomes Governor of Abia, God’s Own State come March 18th, 2023.Tags: 2023 General Election, Abia Politics, PDP
