AbiansDecide: Obidient Movement Adopts Bishop Onuoha as their Sole Candidate

Barely four days to the March 11th Governorship and House of Assembly elections, a group under the ageis of Obidient Movement, has adopted the Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha as their sole candidate.

The group made up of young vibrant youth drawn from across the 17 LGAs of Abia State who are non-partisan, said the group after series of appraisals, meetings and consultations, deemed it pertinent to endorse the Methodist Bishop.

Giving reasons for their preference of Bishop Onuoha while speaking with newsmen in Umuahia on Monday, the Organising Co-ordinator, Adima Prince, said after scrutinizing all the Governorship candidates in the race, they found Bishop Onuoha the most credible and one who has all it takes to pacify all Abians if he emerges Governor.

He stated that the ADC Governorship candidate has the technical know-how to cleanse and clean Abia State, stressing that he has the requisite qualifications to lead Abians at this critical moment just as he maintained that the Methodist Bishop is a household name.

In his word, “Infact, Bishop Dr. Sunday Onuoha needs no introduction because he is a household name in Abia State. He is a man who singlehandedly employed hundreds of youth through Vision Africa. Here is a man, who has paid the GCE fees and school fees for many youth including Afara Prisoners. Bishop Dr. Sunday Onuoha is the man whom the cap fits”.

Adima Prince revealed that they also took into cognizance the fact that he was one of the few Governorship candidates of other parties that openly campaigned and canvassed support for the Labour Party Presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi, informing that their endorsement is also a way of reciprocating his bold gesture.

Also speaking, the Co-ordinator of the Obidient Movement, Hon. Ugochukwu Umeh, said what they have done is to recognise a man who is clean in all ramifications, stressing that with Bishop Onuoha as the next Governor of the State, Abians will be free from blood tasty politicians and will develop considerably.

In their separate speeches, John Eleweke (Abia North), Uche Ohuonu (Abia South) and Maduabuchi Chinomso (Abia central), all alluded that Bishop Onuoha has embarked on human capacity development over the years, maintaining that through Vision Africa Radio, he has affected the lives of many families positively.
