Barely six days to the Governorship and State House of Assembly polls, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, High Chief Ikechi Emenike, has stated that if elected, he will immediately commence the enhancement of Umuahia Aba and Ohafia as modern cities.
He said a lot has been said about making these cities modern by previous administrations, adding that there will be no rocket signs in achieving this as he will go ahead to initiate the move by paying attention to aesthetically develop them if he emerges Governor.
High Chief Emenike who dropped the hint while addressing a cross section of Journalists on Sunday, said these three cities: Umuahia, Aba and Ohafia are key and strategic to the development of the State, noting that efforts will be channeled at ensuring they assume the full status of modern cities.
He also revealed plans for the 17 LGAs of the state, pointing out that if he emerges winner of the March 11th Governorship election, he will take the very first step at developing all the 17 LG headquarters into modern towns.
High Chief Emenike stated plans to establish leisure/recreation centres and befitting general hospitals in each of the 17 LGAs in the state, calling on Abians to try him on these promises by giving him their votes.
