The Candidate of The People Democratic Party, (PDP) for Umuahia Central State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly in the March 11th, polls, Pastor Ugochukwu Steve, has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to address the issue of late arrival of election materials in subsequent elections.
Pastor Ugochukwu Steve who stated this on Saturday while interacting with Journalists, at Polling Unit 11 which also houses polling unit 14 in Afara Technical, Umuahia, noted that some of the INEC Officials attributed the lateness to logistics problem.
He informed that the INEC Officials also had issues handling the BVAS in addition to malfunctioning of one of the BVAS, stressing that these hitches contributed to the delay in the process of voting experienced in the unit.
Pastor Steve, commended the electorates for being orderly despite the frustrations, emphasizing that there was adequate security at the polling unit.
