The Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Abia State, Apostle Dr. Ngozika Gladys Johnson Ogbuneke has likened Abia State to a People Plundered and no one until now, comes to proclaim the word, “Restore”, stressing that if elected, Abians will smile.
Apostle Dr. Ogbuneke who spoke on Sunday, at St Philips Anglican Church, Ahaba-Oloko in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State, during the 18th year anniversary of the Church under the ministrations of the Bishop, Rt Reverend Dr. UC Onyegbule, said if given the mandate, she will restore the hopes of Ndi Abia.
Drawing inference from Isaiah chapter 42, verse 20 to 22, she stated that the plundered people; Abians in this context, deserve a new lease of life, having been deprived of the dividends of democracy by successive administrations, pledging to transform Abia State in all areas of development including: infrastructures, education, provision of good road network, adequate and affordable healthcare.
She revealed that part of her plans for Abia include: building Airport for the State, creating Abia Airways, increasing capacity for employment and creating an enabling environment for women and youths to flourish just as she will encourage them to harness their potentials for the benefit of the state.
During the service, Apostle Dr. Ngozika Gladys Johnson Ogbuneke, implored Abians to avail her 24 months and see total transformation of the State, adding that she will redirect the State to a more progressive and developed state that will be the envy of other States around.
She re-emphazised that after 24 months of being in office and failure to deliver on her promises, she will resign and call for a bye-election, maintaining that if given the mandate, she and her team, will serve Ndi Abia and not to be the served.
During the service, the clergy led by Bishop Onyegbule prayed for Abia State, Nigeria and for a violent free election just as they prayed for the governorship candidate of the SDP, Apostle Dr. Ogbuneke
as well as other candidates of various offices, that the perfect will of God be done in Abia State and Nigeria.
