…says Being a Law Scholar doesn’t make one Grounded in Lawmaking
The Member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency and the Senatorial candidate of the Labour Party for Abia Central in next year’s general election, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha, says he is unperturbed about those going about dragging his name in the mud, saying his achievements in his constituency speaks for him.
The experienced federal lawmaker who stated this while interacting with newsmen at his Umungalagu residence, Ikem Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South on Monday, added that representation is all about carrying your constituents along, emphasizing that being a law scholar doesn’t make one grounded in lawmaking.
Hon. Nwokocha revealed that through his years as a Rep, he has touched the lives of his constituents, embarked on empowerment at various levels, saying that the youth, women among other classes of people, have benefited from his life challenging programmes.
He stressed that it’s only performance that can guarantee the emergence of people in election, insisting that he has continued to impact positively on the two constituencies he is representing as testimonies abound on how he has been paying his dues as a federal lawmaker.
He charged the electorate to shine their eyes in 2023 and be weary of those who do not mean well for Abia Central Senatorial District, stating that if elected to represent the zone, he will institute meaningful policies and programmes to change the narratives of Ndi Abia Central.
Hon. Nwokocha enjoined the electorate to vote for the candidates of Labour Party in the State and for the Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, reiterating that the Party is poised to change the old story of Abia State and Nigeria.
He wished Nigerians merry Christmas and a prosperous new year celebrations, urging them to pray for the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
