Just In: Erondu Jnr Receives Blessings, Accolades from Obingwa Traditional Rulers for Bountiful Yam Harvest

Traditional rulers from Obingwa LGA, Abia State have described the Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Obingwa West State Constituency, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr., as a worthy son of Uhie, Ngwaland, Abia State and Nigeria in general.

The royal fathers who converged at Umuaro on Thursday, for inspection of over 1 million seeds of yam harvested by Erondu Jnr which has attracted commendations from across the country, said he has continued to serve as a source of inspiration for Ndi Uhie, adding that the bountiful harvest he had, came due to his hard work over the years.

Speaking through the President Ukwa La Ngwa Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, Eze Nwabiaraije Eneogwe, commended Hon. Erondu Jnr. for standing in the gap for them, saying it is written that when one labours, he reaps the fruit of his labour, stressing that he has laboured and deserves reward.

The royal father who said it is not easy to plant and harvest huge yam seeds, prayed God to clothe him with good health, maintaining that his kind should not elude any society.

He said due to his philanthropic gestures, the people of Uhie have unanimously endorsed his candidacy, advising other candidates in the race to forget their ambition as Erondu Jnr. has performed creditably to represent Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly.

Eze Eneogwe added that with the way he is touching the lives of many, he is optimistic that when elected lawmaker, he has the potentials to be the next Speaker of the House in 2023.

The traditional rulers including: the host Eze, Eze Obioma Nwakanma, Eze J.O Ananaba, Eze Paulson, Eze Nwabiaraije Eneogwe, in their royal blessing, prayed God to continue to prosper Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu as well as enlarge his harvest next year.

Earlier while addressing the Royal Fathers, the candidate of Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Jnr. Erondu, said he developed the passion for farming years back, informing that he derives joy seeing his farm inputs grow.

He informed that he planted 10, 000 yam seedlings, but to the glory of God, it has multiplied to over 1 million seeds, while using the opportunity to encourage young people to go into agriculture as the benefits are enormous.
