The Financial Secretary, National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Chief Jude Anyatonwu, Dike Eji Agamba, has commended the Leadership of the Union led by the Chairman, Eugene Eze Job for his commitment in carrying members of the Union along.
Chief Jud Anyatonwu who made the remark on Tuesday while addressing newsmen in Umuahia, said the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Abia Chapter, has endeared members of the Union, the public, adding that there is peaceful co-existence among members.
He recalled that for the first time in the history of the Union, the incessant bickerings among drivers has been nipped in the bud through his purposeful leadership.
Chief Anyatonwu, used the opportunity to appeal to drivers as the yuletide season draws near, to refrain from reckless driving occasioned by alcohol consumption, urging them to always maintain their vehicles so as to avoid endangering the lives of travellers.
He lauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his leadership style, stating that the Union in Abia has enjoyed a cordial and a peaceful working relationship with his administration while expressing optimism that the PDP Governorship candidate in Abia, Prof. Uche Ikonne will also make Abia safer than he met it if he emerges winner in 2023.
Chief Anyatonwu who is also the PDP Ward 10 Chairman of Okporo Ahaba and former Ward chairman of Chairmen of Isiala Ngwa South. further pledged his unflinching support to the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Abia State Chapter.
