On Friday 30th day of September 2022, the entire Umunneato bloc of Bende Federal Constituency and the Ezes-in-Council honoured one of their illustrious sons, Chief Iheanyi Chinasa with the traditional title of Agu-Bende ( Lion of Bende) in recognition of his numerous giant strides in Bende communities toward Human Capital development and Capital growth.
The day heralded the victorious mission march of this great soul, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa towards representing his people in the green chamber.
Chief Iheanyi, a benevolent son of Umuamba Uzuakoli, a community known for its lion strength and bravery, has lived resiliently, pursuing lofty goals of self development and service delivery to humanity.
He rose from the debris of limited to an echelon of unlimited possibilities. Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa is a lion who conquered and possessed his territory in style. Little wonder the Bende North Traditional rulers conferred him with the title of ‘Agu of Bende’ in recognition of his great achievements in the social and political sphere.
Speaking while conferring the Chieftancy title, Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu described Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa as a dogged and resilient young man who has made a mark in the sands of time and set a pace for other well to do and privileged men of goodwill in Bende to toll.
He made it clear that Bende is in need of men with strong will and sound mind to build and develop the overwhelming human and natural resources that abound within the area, while charging Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa to move on majestically, as he had been honoured and empowered to run swiftly to battle and conquer.
In response, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa expressed profound gratitude for the honour bestowed on him by the traditional rulers of Bende, and pledged to commit more time, energy and resources fully to the restoration of the legacy and heights glorious Bende had attained in the past and to surpass the previous achievements.
The event which held at the palace of Eze Uwakwe, Chairman, Abia North Traditional rulers council, Igbere had in attendance rulers from and across Igbere, Item, Alayi, Ugwueke.
