In recognition of his philanthropic gestures, the Chairman and Founder, Monirich Eririego Foundation, Chief Michael Erugo has been conferred a chieftaincy title of Nwakaibe Ya I of Ngwaland by His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Dominic Aliche.
Speaking at his Palace in Umuakwu Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State, on Saturday, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Dominic Aliche said the title was in recognition of his service to humanity, revealing that Michael Erugo has performed creditably in touching the lives of people, hence the need for the title.

Eze Aliche who emphasized that he does not confer chieftaincy title without reasons, noted that certain traits were taken into consideration before conferring titles. He said that such qualities are found in Michael Erugo whom he said, has made the entire Ngwaland proud.
Contributing, Eze Ossy Nwaokonko, said titles are given to deserving members of every society, informing that Michael Erugo has distinguished himself, performed excellently hence the reason why Traditional Rulers in Isiala Ngwa North deemed it necessary to recognise their own, who according to him, has made them proud.

Speaking while confirming Mrs Mercy Micheal Erugo as Lolo, the wife of the Eze in Council, Ugoeze Ihuoma Aliche told her to always be by the side of her husband, reminding her that she has been saddled with greater responsibility as Lolo.
Interacting with newsmen, Geoffery Ogbonna, who represented Chief Micheal Erugo, said he was overjoyed receiving the title of Nwakaibe Ya I of Ngwaland for his brother, stating that Chief Michael Erugo is a philanthropist who has touched lives through his Monirich Eririego Foundation.

On her part, Lolo Mercy Michael appreciated the Eze in Council, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr, Dominic Aliche, for finding her husband worthy of the title, stressing that it is an honour that the family will revere for ages.
She promised that her household will continue to impact those in need, maintaining that her husband derives joy in touching lives while thanking those who accompanied the family and stood by them on this auspicious occasion.

Expressing how elated she was over the show of affection by the Eze in Council, the daughter of Chief Michael Erugo, Adaeze Micheal, prayed God to grant her Dad long life to continue to impact others.

In the same vein, the DG, Monirich Eririego Foundation, Magnus Obinna, hinted that the Chairman and founder, Monirich Eririego Foundation, Chief Michael Erugo, is a worthy son of Ngwaland, who has carried out numerous philanthropic gestures, stating that he has been a source of hope and succour to many households, adding that the title of Nwa ka Ibe Ya I of Ngwaland, is well deserved.
